US voters should prove citizenship under Trump’s new election order

On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order that required voters to prove their citizenship before throwing their ballots, which would trigger legal challenges and deepened the partisan sections on voting rights.

Emir, which aims to prevent states from counting the post -voting papers taken after the election day, threatens to stop federal funds from the states that do not comply.

Uz We have to correct our choices, Tr Trump said as he signed the order at the White House. “This country is very sick because of elections, false choices and bad choices. We will correct it in one way or another.”

The movement follows its efforts to tighten Republican voting restrictions, stating concerns about election security. However, voting groups and democrats argue that such measures affect color and other marginal communities in a disproportionate way.

The White House said that the order will prevent foreign nationals from affecting US elections. Within the scope of the new directive, voters will be asked to answer a citizenship question in the Federal Voting Form for the first time.

Furthermore, the order requires that the Ministry of Interior Security provides access to systems that confirm the citizenship or immigration status of individuals registering to vote for the states. Furthermore, the court strengthens the Celbi voter registration lists to ensure compliance with federal laws.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) began to demand public records from 48 states and Washington, DC to examine how they protect voter registration lists.

“They have the right to know that voters maintain their voter rolls properly and quickly remove voters’ registration lists by removing voters unlawful voters.” He said.

Criticism and Legal Challenges

Voting rights activists and civilian freedom groups strongly criticized the executive order and attempted to suppress voter participation.

“This is an open attack on democracy and authoritarian power,” he said.

According to the Brennan Justice Center, 9 percent of the population of approximately 21.3 million US voters or voting population, there is no evidence of citizenship. Moreover, it does not have a passport of about 146 million Americans, which can meet new requirements.

The order also aims to count the post -voting compasses that are posted on the election day, and that an application allowed in 18 states, Porto Rico, Virgin Islands and Washington, DC.

Legal experts foresee a wave of lawsuits that guarantee equal protection in accordance with the laws and prohibit racial discrimination in the vote, which can violate the 14th and 15th changes.

The movement continues to mislead the 2020 defeat to President Joe Biden from a widespread fraud.

Although he could not find any evidence of the significant voter fraud, Trump and Republican allies continued with allegations that non-citizens participated in the US elections illegally-selection officials and experts were unfounded.

Democrats, who forced them for expanded mail vote and early voting access, are expected to assemble a violent opposition of the decision in both the courts and the Congress.
