Disneyland adds new festive events to its holiday schedule

New holiday experiences are coming to the “Happiest Place on Earth” this year holiday season.

Santa Claus will open a new shop for cookie decorating, craft-making and storytelling at the Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland.

St. Nick has it too scheduled shows at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail at Disney California Adventure Park, Pixar Place Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian, and the Disneyland Hotel. Guests can also see Santa Claus in the finale of the A Christmas Fantasy parade at Disneyland.

New Chip and Dale Decoration Trail It will take place at Downtown Disney starting November 22nd. The holiday-themed scavenger hunt will take guests throughout the area to search for hidden ornaments on holiday trees.

Visitors can pick up a scavenger hunt map for $9.99 at select retail locations in Downtown Disney. Chip and Dale’s Decoration Trail ends on New Year’s Day.

Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel will host the new Mickey’s Holiday Slumber Party event. Guests can enjoy a festive breakfast or brunch with Disney characters dressed in pajama outfits.

Tiana’s Bayou AdventureDisneyland’s newest ride will open to the public on November 15.

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Clarabelle will show off their holiday spirit in new themed outfits.

Holiday favorites return

Many holiday favorites will also return to Disneyland Resort.

The “Believe in Holiday Magic” fireworks display will return to Disneyland, and the “World Season of Color-Light” will return to DCA.

Holiday tiers for It’s a Small World, Haunted Mansion, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, and Luigi’s Rollickin Roadsters will also return.

Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Festivities will return to DCA, featuring daily crafts, live music, menu items and decor inspired by Latin American traditions.

Seasonal foods will also be available throughout the resort, including at the Disney Holiday Festival and Disney Viva Navidad food festivals.

Holidays at Disneyland Resort will begin on November 15 and run through January 6, 2025.
