Tennessee Man Arrested on O’Brien County Felony Theft Warrant Out of 2021

Primghar, Iowa – A Tennessee man was arrested on a warrant on burglary charges after an incident near Granville.

Jesse Whittaker, 46, of Palmersville, Tennessee, is accused of burglary and theft from a farm about a mile east of Granville, according to a criminal complaint filed by the county sheriff’s office with the O’Brien County Clerk of Courts. In January 2021. He was arrested on an arrest warrant on Saturday.

The deputy said in his statement that Whittaker entered a building he did not have the right or privilege to enter and took several air wrenches, tools and a chainsaw.

Whittaker was charged with third-degree burglary, a class D felony. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of third-degree burglary.

He will appear in court on November 12.

Whittaker was booked into the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar and released the same day after posting bail.
