Ohio cops take 50-year-old man into custody after chase in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol said troopers took a 50-year-old man into custody Wednesday after a chase.

According to the highway patrol, the chase took place around 5:45 p.m. in St. It started around St. Clair Boulevard and East 145th Street.

Police said they tried to pull the driver over for a tinted glass violation, but the suspect drove away instead of stopping.

The chase involves the group of soldiers and a helicopter overhead.

The helicopter followed the suspect to a home on Evangeline Road, according to the highway patrol.

Police teams said that the suspect got out of the vehicle and went inside.

The helicopter directed soldiers to the man’s location and he was arrested.

A semiautomatic firearm was seized following the chase, according to the highway patrol.

Accusations against the suspect continue.
