Arrest in murder of man found dead in Reno near Sun Valley

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) -The Reno Police Department on Thursday arrested a suspect in a homicide that occurred in January.

Police arrested 43-year-old Rafael Contreras-Servin on charges of open murder, shooting into an occupied structure, destroying or concealing evidence, and child endangerment.

On January 15, police learned that 25-year-old Adinso DeLeon Garcia had been missing since January 12. Later on January 15, police found DeLeon Garcia dead in the passenger seat of his vehicle at the corner of East Leonesio Drive and Crystal Lane in Reno. Near the Valley of the Sun.

The Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office autopsy showed that DeLeon Garcia died as a result of a homicide. Detectives identified Contreras-Servin as the suspect.
