Police investigation continues into Bamber Bridge crash that killed unborn child

An investigation is ongoing and no charges have been laid following a crash on Bamber Bridge that killed an unborn child.




A pregnant woman was hit by a car on Station Road in Bamber Bridge at around 8pm on Sunday, September 29. The woman in her 30s was hospitalized in critical condition.

She underwent emergency surgery to deliver the child, but the child died in hospital. Blog Preston He realizes that the woman is getting better.

Police appealed for information to recover the vehicle involved in the crash – which did not stop at the scene – and later seized the Toyota Prius from an address in Bolton.

Following the incident, many arrests were made. A 19-year-old teenager from Walton-le-Dale was arrested and later released on bail.

A 17-year-old girl from Lostock Hall and a 40-year-old man from Blackburn were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and attempting to pervert the course of justice and were released pending further inquiries.

Two boys, aged 16 and 17, and a 53-year-old man, from Bamber Bridge, were arrested in connection with the incident before being released on bail.
