Ukrainian lawmaker says Zelensky asked for support to reject Trump’s peace plan – World

MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky went to Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, seeking support from Northern European countries to reject the peace plan if Donald Trump wins the US presidential election. Alexander Dubinsky, a dissident member of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada (parliament), was mentioned.

β€œThe Northern European tour was clearly an attempt to find new resources to replace US support,” Dubinsky wrote on Telegram. According to him, Zelensky and his private secretary Andrey Yermak are “looking for supporters to say ‘no’ to Trump’s peace plan.”

Dubinsky believes that Zelensky and Yermak cannot see a future for themselves once the conflict ends, and so they do everything they can to ensure that the conflict never ends.

Previously, Zelensky was aware of the risk of ending US support for Ukraine if Trump won the election. He added that Kiev has “its own internal plan.” Zelensky also claimed that if Washington stops supporting Kiev, EU countries will take over.

In September, Zelensky went to the United States and presented his so-called plan to President Joe Biden and held meetings with presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Many experts in Ukraine noted Zelensky’s weak position in the United States. Describing the visit as an expected and obvious failure, Dubinsky predicted that Zelensky’s behavior could lead to the opposite consequences, angering allies and making him toxic.
