Fake video showing voter fraud in Georgia as part of Russia's disinformation campaign: US

US intelligence On Friday, authorities announced a video purporting to be shown. voter fraud inside Georgia Concocted and created by ‘Russian influence actors’, it warns that foreign attempts to undermine election integrity may continue beyond the voting period.
They said the video in question was part of “Moscow’s broader effort to raise unfounded questions about the integrity of US elections and fuel divisions among Americans.”
X Thursday in the afternoon published in the controversial 20 -second video, a person who claims to be a Haiti immigrant in Georgia districts of Vice President Kamala Harris’e discussing the plans to give more than one vote. The person displays several Georgia ID cards allegedly with different names and addresses.
Georgian Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said that “the video is clearly fake” and was likely “created by Russian trolls trying to create discord and chaos on the eve of the election.”
Russia is expected to produce and distribute more content aimed at undermining election confidence and creating divisions among Americans before and after the election, the FBI, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said in a joint statement.
Darren Linvill, co-director of Clemson University’s Forensic Media Center, said the video’s characteristics match those of Storm-1516 (also known as CopyCop), a known Russian disinformation group that has produced many fake videos during this election.
The agencies also detected another Russian-made video alleging that “an individual linked to a Democratic presidential bid received a bribe from a US artist,” but no further details were provided.
The FBI and other federal agencies previously blamed Russia for a video showing Trump’s mail-in ballots being destroyed in Pennsylvania.
