Baby2Baby is seeking a hard-working, task-oriented intern to join our fast-paced office 8-12 hours per week for 8 weeks starting this Winter/Spring 2025.

Baby2Baby is a national nonprofit organization that provides children living in poverty with diapers, formula, clothing and the basic needs every child deserves, serving more than one million children in all 50 states each year. Over the past 13 years, Baby2Baby has distributed over 450 million items—more than any other such organization—to children in homeless shelters, domestic violence programs, foster care, hospitals, and underserved schools, as well as to children who lost everything in the aftermath of the disaster. POSITION OVERVIEW

Baby2Baby is seeking a hard-working, task-oriented, outreach-oriented intern to join our fast-paced office for 8-12 hours per week for 8 weeks, starting Winter/Spring 2025. This community-focused intern will have the opportunity to learn about the day-to-day operations of the Community and Volunteering department from the Baby2Baby team. Reporting to the Director, Volunteer and Donor Relations, Community Relations Intern(s) will gain experience assisting the Baby2Baby team with daily volunteer sessions and donor relations.

The Community Engagement intern will also learn about the nonprofit and social service sectors in Los Angeles and how Baby2Baby fulfills its mission.

This individual will spend internship hours in person at Baby2Baby’s offices (5830 W. Jefferson Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90016). This is evolving and may change.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Shadows Director, Volunteer and Donor Relations with daily tasks and special projects.

Learns how to recruit and train volunteers and host weekly volunteer events.

Gains exposure to various projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Undergraduate or graduate education continues.

Prior nonprofit and/or community outreach experience preferred.

Friendly, outgoing and personable, with the ability to manage large groups of volunteers.

Excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and Google Apps suite.
