Govinda’s Wife Shares Update on Her Health in the Month After Gunshot Incident: ‘Ekdam Thik Hai’

Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, shared the developments regarding her husband’s health condition after the gunshot incident.

Govinda was hospitalized last month after an accident at his home and he accidentally shot himself. The licensed gun of the 60-year-old actor-turned-politician went off when he dropped it while placing it inside the almirah. Govinda was discharged after a few days of treatment at CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai. Recently, his wife Sunita Ahuja gave an update on his health condition.

Govinda’s wife Sunita and daughter Tina were seen in front of a building in gorgeous ethnic attire. While the actor’s wife opted for an all-black, heavily embellished sharara set for the occasion, her daughter looked effortlessly beautiful in a pink and gray sequined ombre saree paired with a gray satin blouse. In a video circulating on social media, a paparazzi asked Govinda’s wife about her health condition.

He answered him: “Sir ekdam thik hai. The rest bola hai isliye iss saal Diwali wo nahi mana rahe. Toh sirf main bacchon ke Saath Diwali mana rahi hun (Sir is doing well. He has been advised to rest, so he is not celebrating Diwali this year. I am celebrating Diwali with our children).” Before going inside the building, the Mother-daughter duo gave the paparazzi a happy Diwali he wished.

A few days ago, when Govinda’s son Yashvardhan Ahuja attended a Diwali party, he spoke to the media about his father’s health. In his short chat with the paparazzi, he shared that the experienced player’s condition was good, the stitches were removed, so there was no need for tension. He also jokingly said: “Mast, ab ek do hafto mein dance bhi karna chalu kar lenge (He will start dancing after a while).”

Govinda’s leg injury occurred in the first week of October, when the actor was preparing to leave for Kolkata. Govinda was discharged after receiving treatment and care in the hospital for a few days. The actor held a press conference after his discharge and announced the details of the incident. He explained that initially he couldn’t believe what was happening to him. Govinda shared that he was alone when the accident occurred between 4:45 am and 5 am as he was preparing to leave for Kolkata.

“Woh giri aur chal padi (the gun fell and fired). I felt a jhatka (I was shocked) and then I saw… there was a fountain of blood. I thought I shouldn’t bother others by relating this incident to others, so I made a few videos and then talked to Dr. I was taken to Agarwal. He came with us and took me to the CritiCare hospital,” the actor recalls.
