Possible suspect in Halloween murder seen wearing Michael Myers mask, police say

HOUSTON (TMX) – Authorities in Texas are searching for a possible suspect in a Houston murder who was seen in the area Thursday night wearing a Michael Myers mask from the “Halloween” movies.

Deputies and EMS responded late Thursday after a resident on Hawks Nest Drive in Houston called 911 to report that his father had been shot, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said. They found the victim in the garage unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff’s office said two young children were inside the home and were unharmed.

Homicide investigators spoke with witnesses and reviewed security video from neighboring homes and learned that a possible suspect wearing a Michael Myers mask had been seen in the area.

Both the neighbors and the children in the house heard the gunshots. Investigators later learned that the children’s mother, the victim’s estranged wife, was killed in August.

The children were handed over to their grandmother.

The sheriff’s office said the suspect’s identity and motive are unknown at this time.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward or submit an anonymous tip.
