Man and woman injured at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital

An investigation is ongoing at the hospital after a man and woman were injured due to safety concerns.

Police were called to the East Atrium of Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital at 1.30pm (GMT) on Thursday.

While the details of the incident have not been disclosed, it is stated that the injuries of the man and woman are not life-threatening.

Lesley Dwyer, chief executive of the hospital trust, said: “The health and safety of everyone at our hospital is an absolute priority and we will take immediate action if further safety measures are identified and required as a result of this incident and ongoing investigations.”

“We thank our staff who provided aid and care to the 2 injured people, and we support those affected by the incident.”

Police said he left the scene around 18:00 GMT.
